I thought the other day he wasn't happy with the results in batting practice...which is why Buck started Delmon Young in that game?

Who wasn't happy? Buck or Steve?

The guy hasn't he even batted yet...LOL. Way to keep him "fresh". We all know Young and Pearce are redundant..but come on. He can get an at bat some where at least...

For the record, I would keep one of Young and Pearce and get Weeks up here. He is hot, can get on base (at least walk) and sounds like play some OF too (not sure on how well he is in the OF though-would love some feedback there).

Buck has to try and find AB's for Pearce? Isn't this just a case for not having him on the team. I like Pearce but he has no role. He's just keeping a spot on the bench warm for his replacement. He could lose his spot when Machado comes back if they decide to keep all three of Schoop, Flaherty, and Lombardozzi. Even if he survives that, I think he's in great jeopardy when either of Peguero or Almanzar are ready to come back. The fact that Pearce is not even being used, is ammunition for carrying the Rule 5 pick.

Agree with most of this, but Peguero is not a legit contender to be on this team, especially as long as Jones and Lough are healthy.

Does anyone else find it borderline crazy that Pearce has not played? Why not just carry another pitcher or Weeks (who I would select) or Q Berry who can pinch run-even another catcher would be more valuable-makes zero sense.

I thought Buck was supposed to do a better job this year of keeping his bench players fresh?

You know something weird, though? I've never seen Steve Pearce and Superman in the same room together. For that matter, I've never seen Pearce and Batman in the same room together.
